Achieving great things through training, tenacity & time doesn't make someone vain. It lessens vanity! Therefore, I have one question: is @realDonaldTrump vain?

About This Quote

I have never been a fan of President Trump. I've always found him to be a narcissistic man who has a lot of pride in himself and his achievements. Trump is also a man of great pride, which is why he fights so hard to get the things he wants. But, does this make him vain? To me, I don't think it does.

The word "vanity" means to be overly concerned about your appearance or character. In this quote, Trump is trying to show that he will work hard for what he wants and that he isn't worried about the way he looks. This has been something that has plagued him since his presidential campaign where he often appeared on television in very casual attire and during debates when his nose was bleeding and his face was covered in stitches.

He may be vain in the sense of being self-centered and thinking highly of himself but we shouldn't call him vain if we think of him as having a strong work ethic and passion for what he wants to accomplish.
